Shade Styles

- Roll-Up Shade Style: This shade is constructed with the cords running from front to back so that the material rolls at the bottom as the shade is raised. The reverse side of the material will be visible on this roll.
- A 6” attached valance is included as standard
- Not available with privacy or blackout liner
- Available with edge banding
- Waterfall Shade Style: The material hangs flat from the front of the headrail when lowered and folds neatly when raised.
- A 6” attached valance is included on the window side of the shade to conceal the hardware from view.
- With lined shades, the valance is made from the lining material to match the back of the shade and is 6” long.
Continuous Cord Loop System: A pulley system where the cord retains the same length no matter what position the shade is in. It provides easier lifting for larger shades. We recommend that you choose this feature for shades over 72” x 84”. This feature is not available with self-operating liner, top down/bottom up, top down only, or roll-up shades.
Top Down/Bottom Up: The shade raises from the bottom as a normal shade would, but the top also lowers on a floating rail. The right cord lowers the shade from the top and the left cord raises the shade from the bottom. These are standard control positions and cannot be reversed. This feature is available with the Standard Roman Shade Style only. This feature is not available with continuous cord loop, or 3-on-1 headrail.
Top Down Only: The top of the shade lowers on a floating rail. The bottom of the shade does not operate. This feature is available with the Standard Roman Shade Style only. This feature is not available with continuous cord loop, or 3-on-1 headrail.
Edge Banding Options
- Narrow edge Bindings: Plain, twill fabric stitched to both sides of the shade and to both sides of the standard valance.
- Wide Edge Bindings: Applied approximately 2 ½” wide on both sides and across the bottom of the shade, and along the sides of the valance.
Liner Options
- Light-Filtering Privacy Liner: Provides complete privacy, a neutral appearance to the outside and reduces light transmission by approximately 40%. Fabric content of liner: 30% Cotton, 70% Polyester. Available in 2 colors.
- Blackout Liner: Provides complete privacy, a neutral appearance to the outside and reduces light transmission by approximately 97%. Fabric Content: 100% Cotton. Available in 3 colors.
- Self-Operating Liner for Standard Roman Shades Only: This feature is available with the Standard Roman Shade style only. It allows for independent operation of both the woven wood shade and the liner with two sets of controls. This liner provides optimal translucency of woven wood material when liner is rolled up and privacy when the liner is down. Choose either the Light-Filtering Privacy Liner or Blackout Liner. Please note that cords are visible on the liner when the shade is up.
Multiple Shades on One Headrail: Two shades are mounted on to one headrail, but work independently of eachother. This feature is not available with the Roll-Up or Hobbled Shade Styles. It is only available with 2-on-1 headrail for shades with the top down/bottom up or top down only features. This feature cannot be used in conjunction with motorization.
Hem Options
- Bottom Bars: Choose from 6 colors of wood bottom bars to provide a stylish finish to the bottom of the shade. It is not available with the Roll-Up Style. If this feature is selected with edge binding, there will be no edge binding across the bottom of the shade.
- Straight Hems and Trims: Straight hems are available with decorative, beaded trims in 6 styles. Decorative trims can be selected for either the hem or valance individually or both. Trim will be applied to the back of the shade, so the ribbon is not showing.
- Scalloped Hems and Valances: You can select to have either a scalloped hem, scalloped valance, or both. Select either standard gimp trim (color-coordinated to the shade color) or select from 6 different decorative trim. Decorative trim will be applied to the back of the shade, with gimp on the front. This feature is available with Liners and Edge Bandings. Scalloped valances measure 8” at the longest point and 6” at the shortest point, supplied with matching returns on outside mounts.
Valance Options
- Standard Valance: 6” attached valance that is included with every shade style.
- Fabric Valance: Optional replacement for the standard 6” valance and can be made from any Wide Edge Binding material. Fabric valances are 6” long and all outside mount shades are supplied with matching 6” fabric returns. Valances over 53” will be seamed unless the fabric is railroaded.
- 4 ½” Crown Royale Valance: Crown decorative valance made from our Steve’s Wood or 3 5/8” Wood colors. This valance type is not available with the Continuous Cord Loop option. Valances over 94” will be spliced. The standard return size is 2 ¼”.
Motorization
- Infrared (IR) Control: Raise and lower shades with the push of a button. IR Control requires a “line of sight” from the remote control to the Satellite Eye to operate the shade. You can operate shades up to 30 feet away. The motor is integrated inside of the headrail. This feature is not available on the Hobbled Shade Style.
- Radio Frequency (RF) Control: Raise and lower shades up to 100 feet away with the push of a button. This feature does not require a “line of sight” from the remote control to the Satellite Eye. Control up to 5 shades or 5 group of shades with this feature. The motor is integrated inside of the headrail. There are several optional accessories available with Radio Frequency motorization.
