Note: For width specification please know the following
Inside Mount: Measure from the inside surface to the inside surface. Please provide us with exact measurements as the manufacturer will make the necessary deduction of 3/8” off of the fabric.
Outside Mount: Measure the exact area you wish to cover as the manufacturer will produce your shade to your exact measurements. Be sure to take the window trim into account.

How to Measure for a 2-on-1 Headrail:
Outside Mount:
- Overall Shade Width: Measure the desired width
- Levolor recommends that you add 3” to the overall width of the window for complete coverage. For maximum privacy, add an additional 3” to the total width of the window.
- Left Shade Width: Measure the width that you want the left shade to cover
- Right Shade Width: Measure the width that you want the right shade to cover
- The left shade width plus the gap, plus the right shade width must equal the overall shade width.
- Height: Measure the desired height
- Levolor recommends that you add at least 3” to the height of the window for complete coverage. For maximum privacy, add an additional 3” to the total height of the window.
- Order the left shade first (This is shade 1)
- Note: There will be a ¼” innerspace between the fabric on the left and right shade to allow for shades to operate independently. This standard innerspace can be increased if customer requests, however the minimum is ¼”
Inside Mount:
- Overall Shade Width: Measure the window’s width at the top, middle, and bottom. Order the narrowest measurement.
- Left Shade Width: Measure the width that you want the left to cover.
- Right Shade Width: Measure the width that you want the right to cover.
- Height: Measure the window from the top to the bottom for desired height
- Order the left shade first (This is shade 1)
- Note: There will be a ¼” gap between the fabric on the left and right shade.
All Mounting Hardware Included!
Steel brackets snap into place, making shades very easy to install!
Brackets
- Standard
- Side-Mount Brackets: Ideal for windows below transoms and arches, this is an alternative mounting method when no frame is available above the window for mounting. Use only if shades fall within the following:
- For a standard Shade:
- Width: 6” – 48”
- Height: 6” – 72”
- For a cordless Shade:
- Width: 13” – 48”
- Height:12” – 72”
- Extension Brackets: Available for outside mount shades. When the shade must operate around an obstruction, these brackets project the shade away from the wall, allowing easy operation. The brackets come in two sizes providing flexible projection lengths:
- Size 1: 3/8” Projection (1 spacer)
- Size 2: 1” – 3” Projection (adjustable)
- Hold Down Brackets: For outside mount only, available for securing the bottom rail in position. These brackets can stop a shade from bouncing and loosely swinging if the shade is hung on a door.
- Cord Cleats: Secures the cords to wall for child and pet safety.
Top Down/Bottom Up: The shade can be lowered from the top and raised from the bottom. Thus, the shade can be positioned anywhere in the window. Separate controls on each side of the shade control the rails independently. The shade is measured the same way as a standard shade.
Top Down Only: The fabric lowers from the top of the shade only. The bottom rail does not operate. Measure this shade as a standard shade.
Continuous Cord Loop System: A pulley system where the cord length is always the same. A simple pull on the control cord positions the shade at the exact height desired.
Cordless System: The elimination of lift cords make the shade child and pet safe. Simply raise and lower your shade by pushing down and pulling up on the bottom rail. The spring-motor activation offers easy operation. A handle is provided with every cordless shade.
Cordless Top Down/Bottom Up: Combine Levolor’s Cordless lift system with Top Down/Bottom Up engineering. This shade can be lowered from the top or raised from the bottom—you decide how much light control you want and where on the window the light control should be. The shade is measured in the same way as a standard shade and each shade is provided with a handle to raise and lower it.
2-on-1 Headrail: Two independently operating shades are mounted onto one headrail.
