The window was shallow, and these 1" slats look great. The 2" slats would have been out of proportion to the window.

I use these blinds in 3 side-by-side windows. They are much better than typical department store blinds. Very sturdy; my cats are always moving them to look out the windows and they won't bend or break like vinyl blinds. Very attractive.

The blinds added the right look to the room. Classic clean lines. Closed when privacy is needed but lets the light in to illuminate the room. Levolor stands behind their product. I would purchase their product again.

Painted finish is beautiful and they look very nice. The one thing I do not like is how they lift with the pull string. It can get out of alignment quite easily. I am using this blind in a powder room, so it won't be raised up or down that often which is a good thing. They do look really beautiful and much more expensive than they were. My husband thought that the metal clips that were used to snap in the blinds were extremely difficult to work with--this comes from a man who installed many many Hunter Douglas wood blinds in our home.

The blinds nicely accent and blend with the woodwork on the windows. The valance could be more secure that it its. I wish instructions for installation had been included but I figured it out eventually.

What an upgrade from the mini-blinds they replaced! They are really pretty. Keep in mind that wood blinds are heavy so you might want to install them only in windows whose blinds are ususally in the "down" position. Very nice blinds[...] I will order from them again.

After much research and consideration, I finally purchased and installed the 1" Chestnut Levolor Wood Blinds on all my windows. They work well with the trim which was nearly walnut in color and they work well with the walls, (taupe). Also, they compliment the windows and much of the furniture which is various shades of brown. And don't forget, they look great from the outside as well.My house was built in 1948 and I've lived there now for 3 years. The window treatments were a mixture of metal blinds and curtains of all sizes, shapes and colors. They had to go. After doing a number of other home repairs/upgrades, I decided it was time to do the windows, inside and out. The front of my house faces the South so I get full light all throughout the day. I needed good window treatments.At first I looked at Steve's blinds, then Bali and finally Levolor, which had the widest range of choices and a very good reputation. Initially I started out with white honeycomb blinds thinking I would do window treatments differently in each room. That wasn't working so I hired a professional designer and we came up with a solution that works well for my house; make the envelope consistent and have variety in the contents. I have a combined living room and dining room that's one large open space. I have a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sizable breezeway that's been converted into a work/study area. I've installed the wood blinds in all rooms except the bathrooms. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do there.These blinds are fantastic. It was a while ago, but I believe Levolor is the only brand that had 1 inch, REAL wood.I also got contrasting Navy cloth tapes with white blinds and they look so sharp.

We have bought blinds for all the windows where we wanted blinds and installed them ourselves. I bought these blinds for the door going into the garage later as an afterthought. They can close the view completely if desired or just control the light. Great! Easily installed.
