Inside Mount: Please provide the exact measurements of the inside of your window from jam to jam and the factory will make the necessary deductions (up to 1/2" depending on the type of blinds) to ensure the proper operation of your blinds as well as to accommodate for brackets, headrail and valances (on roller shades the materials may be 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" inch less than the opening)
Outside Mounts: Please provide the exact measurements of the area you would like your blinds to cover including wall space to avoid light gaps. Your blind will be made up to ½” more that ordered width depending on vendor (on roller shades the material of the shade may be 1 1/8” – 1 1/2” less).

Louver Size

Louvers are the horizontal slats that comprise the central structure of the shutter and are angled to admit light and air, but to keep out rain, direct sunshine, and noise. The angle of the louvers is adjustable and they are available in slat size 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 inches. Smaller louvers, used in “plantation” style shutters, provide a traditional design while larger widths are perfect for large rooms or a more contemprary setting. Choosing larger louvers will provide you with a better viewing clearance when in the open position.

Standard Folding: These are the most popular choice and fits most window. They are available as single or multiple panels depending on your window size. These panels can be folded flat against the walls around an opening. Single panels are the most popular and maximize the light and view through a window.
Cafe Style: A Café style shutter is a shutter configuration in which the panel or panels do not completely cover the entire height of the window opening. The frame may be ordered to the same height as the panel (in 2 or 3 sided frame configurations).
French Doors: Are designed specifically for the popular French doors in many living areas. This shutter come with a Slim Line frame that sits behind the panel, giving a clean look of a shutter panel on your window. This specialty frame design is offered as solid or as a cutout to accommodate traditional style door handles. Must be ordered with LFrame with 1/2" Extension - please choose this frame type.
T-Post: Used to separate and hinge multiple panels in wide openings. Usually placed directly in front of any existing window dividers. It is notched to fit into the frames, or can be installed to existing opening with L brackets. T-Post: Are designed for wide or large windows that require additional strength. The manufacturer recommends T-Post on shutters wider than 72".

L-Frame: Inside or outside mount. Utility frame for all solutions-cover strip.
L-Frame with extensions: Outside mount only. Usually used when the frame is installed besides the trim or to clear any obstructions. To be used with French Doors.
Z-Frame: Inside Mount Only. Blends well with all types of window trim. Easily manipulated.
Trim Frame: Inside mount only. Typically used in openings with drywall returns. Most popular trim.
Deluxe Frame: Inside mount only. Typically used in opening with drywall returns. Great for larger louvers.
Mounting Strip: Used in conjunction with adjustable hinges for inside mounts without frames or as a light block mounted on the inside of panels which are installed without framed. It is not visible from inside of the room.

Divider Rail
Help Me Decide
Divider rails seperate the top and bottom sections on your shutters to give you independent operation, additional privacy and total light control. A divider rail also adds strength to larger panels. creates more light control by separating the louvers into 2 sections. By default, the divider rail is placed at the half way point of the shutter height (if you would like to specify where the divideer rail is located please call us or notate under special instructions). One divider rail is required for shutters over 60" high, two divider rails required on 90" or longer panels.
Deluxe: The unique design of this rail integrates a handle which provides a clean and easy method of opening shutters. Offered as an option to the existing regular divider rail, the deluxe divider rail is the ultimate in functionality, design, and elegance.
Divider rails size for 3 ½” louver is 2 5/8”, divider rail size for 2 ½” & 4 ½” louver is 3 ¾”. Divider rail location for ordering is always measured form the sill to the center of requested location.

Tilt Rod

Front to Tilt Rod: The tilt bar is positioned in the middle of the panel. Louvers can be opened or closed in both directions, unlike other shutters which are one-directional only. This method has eliminated unsightly gears or staples which tend to rust or break.
Rear to Tilt Rod (ClearView): There is no tilt bar. There are clearview joiners that hold the louvers together at the back of the panel.
Panel Lock

Panel Lock: No unsightly magnets or catches. Spring loaded button and ramp mechanism used in place of magnets.
Sill Frame

Shutters may be installed on top of sills using either three or four sided frames, or using four sided L-Frames with added extensions.
