I wanted shutters across the back of my house, but it was impossible to open them so I chose Shutter Style Blinds instead. I was amazed at how beautiful these blinds are! [...] The up & down mechanism feels a little flimsy, but can be controlled by moving it slowly.

We replaced shutters with these plantation blinds. Can leave the shutter open or retract completely. Looks so nice we ordered more to finish the look on the 1st floor. Live support staff very helpful when trying to decide on the actual color of the different "whites" offered. Went with Artic White and it is just like my white trim.

My husband researches all of our home purchases to a great extent because we work within a reasonable budget and want to get the most for our money. We visited 4 stores and even had a consultant come into our home to give us a quote on blinds. Finally settled on the Bali composite because it's very easy to clean and will not warp over time. We were originally think of buying shutters for the entire house. We bought these shutter looking blinds instead. We have not regretted the purchase at all! They were easy to install, look great, will withstand weather if we leave our windows open and are very easy to clean. We'd do it all over again! Thanks!

Steve's customer service is very good. Helpful and knowledgable. I believe that this item should have some cautions/warnings re: overall weight of items. I do not believe that these are made to raise and lower every day. Even single small windows need to be assisted while lifting. Too much weight for our large windows (70" x 75"). They are up but we are already thinking about replacement. Our 1st experience with faux wood....learning for us. Recommended with reservations re: weight.
