Not only are our faux and real wood shutters excellent for added privacy and light control but are also great when used in high moisture areas like an indoor pool area, bathroom or kitchen.

  • Safety

All of our shutters are cordless making them the perfect choice for homes with small children and pets as dangling cords can be extremely hazardous.

    Shutters are Safe!
  • Clear View

Many of our faux and real wood shutter collections include the option to have your tilt control wand located on the rear side of the shutters panel and offset to the side. This option can be combined with a larger louver size to create a beautiful clear view when the shutter is in the open position.

    Grand View Shutters
  • Bi-Pass Slider

The Bi-Pass Slider Shutter Type is often used for windows or doors with limited clearance for opening and closing. Often available with a track frame system for smooth opening and closing operation. Also stunning when used as a room divider.

  • Light Control

Our shutters allow for optimum light and privacy control. On larger windows light control can be increased with the addition of a divider rail, which separates the top and bottom sections of your shutters to give you independent operation.

  • Large Windows

When working with large scale windows shutters will often be divided into multiple panels with divider rails to maximize the strength of your shutters and to match your personal style.

  • Divider Rail

A divider rail is a horizontal bar that separates the top and bottom sections of your shutters to give you independent operation, additional privacy and total light control. You are able to customize the location of the divider rail to match a break in your window or for style purposes.

Please Note: There are special measuring instructions for the following collections: Grand View Poly, PolyClad, Solid PolyCore and all Real Wood collections. If you are ordering from any of these collections please click here for instructions.

Inside Mounted Shutters

1. Measure exact window width at top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement to 1⁄16". For windows with mullions (vertical dividers which provide added structural support), the panel width will remain the same if ordered with a t-post, or without.
2. Measure height in three places (left, middle & right) and record the smallest measurement to 1⁄8". If ordering two shutter panels to be placed next to each other, please be sure that the heights of the panels are equal. If they are not this may result in a difference in louver count or rail size.
3. Measure the window diagonally in two places. If the two diagonal dimensions are not equal, we recommend that you choose to mount your shutter with a frame as opposed to choosing "no-frame" to avoid uneven light gaps. If the diagonal measurements are more than 3⁄8" off then we recommend choosing an outside mount.

Outside-Mounted Shutters - Window with Existing Trim

1. Measure from outside of trim to outside of trim in three places. Ensure the frame does not extend into the opening. Record the largest measurement to 1⁄16". If the chosen frame extends past the edge of the trim, then measure the width from outside of trim to outside of trim in three places (top, middle & bottom). Add it to the measurement that the frame extends past the trim on each side. If installing around trim: Measure from outside of trim to outside of trim in three places (top, middle & bottom). Record the largest measurement to 1⁄16".
2. Measure from outside of trim to outside of trim in three places. Ensure the frame does not extend into the opening. Record the largest measurement to 1⁄8". If the chosen frame extends past the edge of the trim, then measure the height from outside of trim to outside of trim in three places (top, middle & bottom). Add it to the measurement that the frame extends past the trim on each side. If installing around trim: Measure from outside of trim to outside of trim in three places(left, middle & right). Record the largest measurement to 1⁄8". Please note: If ordering two shutter panels to be placed next to each other, please be sure that the heights of the panels are equal. If they are not this may result in a difference in louver count or rail size.

Outside-Mounted Shutters - Window with No Trim

1. Measure the inside width in three places (top, middle & bottom). Take the largest measurement to 1⁄16" and make sure to add additional to allow for the frame selected.
2. Measure the inside height in three places (left, middle & right). Take the largest measurement to 1⁄8" and make sure to add additional to allow for the frame selected. Please note: If ordering two shutter panels to be placed next to each other, please be sure that the heights of the panels are equal. If they are not this may result in a difference in louver count or rail size.

Divider Rails

If choosing to include divider rails in your shutter design first measure from the bottom of the sill or window opening to the middle of the divider rail location. Note: A divider rail is required for shutter panels 60" or more in height with a maximum of 50” between the middle of the divider rail and either top or bottom rail. Two divider rails are required for panels 90" or more in height.
