Inside Mount: Measure from the inside surface to the inside surface. Please provide us with exact measurements as the manufacturer will make the necessary deduction. The headrail (including end caps) will measure 3/16” less than the total width ordered, while the fabric will measure 1 1/8” less than the total width ordered. Due to variations in fabric weave and other environmental conditions, the finished dimensions for both width and length may vary plus or minus 1/8” from your ordered measurements.
Outside Mount: Measure the exact area you wish to cover as the manufacturer will produce your shade to your exact measurements. Be sure to take the window trim into account. On the width, allow at least 1 ½” of overlap on each side. An overlap of 3” on each side is recommended. Due to variations in fabric weave and other environmental conditions, the finished dimensions for both width and length may vary plus or minus 1/8” from your ordered measurements.
Height: The shade will measure the exact height ordered when the vanes are in the open or ‘view through’ position. Because the vanes rotate when closing, the shading will become 3/8” longer in the closed position. If preferred, window shadings can be ordered at 3/8” less than the measured length. In this case, the bottom rail will be positioned 3/8” above the sill when the vanes are in the open position. Rotating the vane closed will cause the bottom rail to meet the sill, closing any space. Due to variations in fabric weave and other environmental conditions, the finished dimensions for both width and length may vary plus or minus 1/8” from your ordered measurements.
For Side-by-Side Application: Vane alignment will be guaranteed within ¼” if the shades are ordered at the same time, are the same color, style and length, the total width of all window openings does not exceed 112”, and side-by-side installation is indicated when the order is placed. Measure from the inside surface to the inside surface. Please provide us with exact measurements as the manufacturer will make the necessary deduction. The headrail (including end caps) will measure 1 3/16” less than the total width ordered and the fabric will measure 1 5/8” less than the total width ordered.
