Bought it for one bathroom. My wife liked it so much that we bought a 2nd one to replace the aluminum blind in another bathroom. Does not darken the room, but gives all the privacy.

We put 2 of these shades in our bathroom. We love them. We rarely tilt the blinds open because so much light comes through when they are closed. Set and forget. The issue with how the blind looks at night is that it is transparent enough that you can see the window panes and the night darkness coming from outside the window. It's just a little odd. I like the daytime look very much. The blinds are sheer enough to let in a lot of light, but they still give much-needed privacy.
A problem we had was the color samples are so small that I could not get a good feel for the color in a full-size shade. "Sand" is very orange, which I could not detect in the small sample. Besides, since when is "sand" orange? Stay away from "sand" unless you are looking for orange.

They let light in while maintaining privacy. The horizontal blinds are not affected by wind when the sliding door is open.

I love these blinds! They are everything I was hoping for - they let the light in, but when closed they provide the privacy I was looking for and it is still light. I got them in the green/sage color and will buy more of them for the rest of the house. They are well made, attractive (so different!), and easy to clean since each slat can be removed for cleaning. Everything I wanted at a very good price. Thank you Steve's Blinds!

These blinds are fabulous! I wanted to keep my living room light and airy, along with being able to easily clean. My husband is so thrilled with the purchase, that he wants to put them in EVERY room. I priced them at two brand name stores and Steve's Blinds beat both prices. Also, they arrived within a week's time. I will definitely be buying more from Steve's!

Well made, attractive, lets lots of light in. However, it does not provide complete privacy (looking in at night from outside one can see outlines of people but can't see the people clearly). Might not be suitable in bedroom or bathroom. I use in my kitchen and it is a great solution there because it blocks the view of the neighbor's house but still provides lots of light. Note that the product I bought was one of the sheerest in the product line-other colors/patterns may provide more privacy. This shade was relatively heavy compared to the same size fabric shade.

I used this in the bathtub, shower window. It is very private 4 Ft away, however when I shower standing next to it when its dark, its a public shower. You can see the body shape and overall color of skin moving. What I discovered which worked well for me, is I have lights outside the window on the house and they work automatically. So before I step in the shower I turn off the lights in the bathroom and the light from outside is enough to see and becomes totally private. It sheds the water perfectly.

I have been looking of a window covering that would let the light in my kitchen, but yet block the view of my neighbor. These blinds are exactly what I was looking for! I didn't want use something difficult to remove like frosted window film, I wanted to still be able to look out the window sometimes. These are so pretty, I have arctic crystal, they look like frosted glass, clear but textured to provide privacy. The light in my kitchen is pretty much the same with the blinds closed as when they are open. They were very easy to install, and I love that the slats are able to be lifted out for cleaning, without removing all of them or the whole blind together. These blinds are one of the best designed items I have added to my house, buy them!
