I had searched for months, locally and on the internet, for what I needed/wanted. Noone and I mean noone could offer me all the options I was looking for in a single product. Then I found, Steve's. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted, I got them for less than 1/2 the price anyone else was offering. They are totally room-darking (needed) and, along with the side tracks, have reduced the temperature of the room (extra perk). The (extra extra perk) is that I also get a tax credit this year because of the energy efficiency of the side tracks. The construction and quality are top notch. You cannot go wrong with these.

The only thing I found that would have made these more perfect would have been a wider color selection.

The blinds do what they're meant to do, which is keep out the light and provide privacy. I was off by about 1/4 inch on my measurement for one of the windows, so that lets in a bit more light, but that was my fault, not the way they're made. I do wish that the blinds were the full width of the hardware, though, because the way they are made leaves a slight (approximately 1/8" or 3/16") gap between the blinds, which also lets in a bit more light. However, I think that if I'd ordered one large blind instead of three smaller ones (I have essentially one big window that is divided into 3 sections, with the two outer sections opening by sliding in towards the center), they would completely black-out the room, which is a positive on how they're constructed.

The biggest reason I didn't give them a higher rating is that the cordless lift doesn't work all that well. I often have to sort of fold them the way you would the temporary blinds to make them go all the way up. But once I do that, they stay up until I pull them down.

The installation was only difficult for me because they needed to be drilled into a concrete ceiling, and I didn't have the proper drill or the strength to do it in a reasonable amount of time. I did use one of the installers referred by Steve's, though, and they were quick and efficient, but somewhat expensive.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the blinds. I'd recommend them, but I'd suggest getting the remote control lift if your window is big enough (2 of my 3 blinds were too small of a width for this option).

I bought this product for my new media room. They work great. Only one suggestion: get about one inch larger width wise to ensure that the tiny amount of light does not come through the side. But other than that they are great. They really do the job.

With the top down bottom up feature we are having problems with putting them up to the top. You have to work at getting them up. Too loose at the top. Other than that they are great shades and a great price. They have excellent customer service.
