The temperature difference these shades provide is amazing! I already have them in my kitchen and dining area, and have noticed a distinct difference between the temperature of the inside of the window and the outside of the shade - i.e., it keeps the heat out in summer and has kept the cold out in winter. I have purchased the 14% and love the look as well - the white shades that I have purchased give a "glowing" quality to the windows when they are down. I have gotten many compliments on the look and will undoubtedly end up putting these on ALL of my windows. They give a great look to my bedroom windows, along with extra privacy, plus, I love the feature that I can literally see right through them!

We have many windows in our SW facing living room and 24' ceilings.....the shades are WONDERFUL....they let you see out but keep the sun out a lot! I have oriental rugs that I do not want faded and the shades are perfect. They don't show when they are rolled up, they look nice when they are down...we love them! I looked at VERY expensive shades before ordering these and they are made exactly the same. The room stays a lot cooler also.

Bought two sets one for window,one for screen door, both fit perfectly, very nice color, love the beaded cord. Needed a little more instructions, would have been nice to know if the cord could be shorted and how to do it. I should have order a smaller opening, but that was my fault. [...]

I really like the solar shades for temperature control and privacy. I did have 2 chains break almost immediately after they were installed and received replacements at no charge almost very quickly at no charge. Its nice that you stand behind your product.

Fabulous products. Easy to install. Work like a charm!
I knew the 14% would not be for privacy but they do what I intended.
Helps stop glare while still letting us see the lake.I am very satisfied and will purchase them for the rest of the windows.

Do not install near a sliding door. The track that's installed by the door always pulls out.

Used the shades to block sun glare from back of house. The shades really cut down on the glare and heat, but allow visibility out to countryside. Still allows light in room, but overall creates a sense of coolness. From the exterior the shades provides some privacy that did not exist before. Exactly what we wanted.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It was the perfect addition to the rooms I purchased them for. The diffuse the sun's light allowing just the right amount of light in without darkening the rooms. I love them.

I was very pleased with the construction and easy of installation and use. It cuts out the perfect amount of direct sunlight while still allowing in enough light. I love them.

This shade has really made a difference on cutting down the heat coming in my upstairs patio door. The door faces west and has always made it so hot upstairs. Should have done this years ago.

I purchased these blinds for my sunroom which had both north and south windows. I like the way this room looks now with the hot summer sun filtered but yet the view to outside isn't obstructed.

Using these solar blinds in a room that gets full sun all day. Had wooden blinds but they were closed most of the time due to blinding sunlight and heat, so I never enjoyed the view. These solar blinds are great. No glare, no heat. Just gentle light that lets me enjoy the garden view and makes the room seem a lot bigger.

Installed 6 solar shades in our screened porch to shade from the sun. Plan to order 2 more to complete the window treatment on the only 2 windows that do not get much sun, just want the entire porch to have the same look.
I truly like these solar shades!

There blinds look wonder in my beach house. It lets me block out the afternoon sun but still enjoy the beautiful ocean!. It does not take away from the view! They are almost "hidden"

This is the second order I've made with Steve's. The quality is very good. Unfortunately I must have entered the measurements for height in the width column and vice versa - so now am stuck with a bargain for which I have no use! I thought I had double checked before sending the order, but apparently not.
Hence, this friendly advice to others - look hard before you click the final button!

Shades are used on the East side of the house, so they block sunlight in the AM. In the evening they become part of the window/wall and everyone that has seen them comments on how great they look and operate. Friends of ours are going to purchase similar shades for their home at The Villages in Florida.
Great look in our kitchen and dining areas!

We have 11 showroom size windows and these roller/solar shades were just perfect for our business. The color was right on (we got the black and grey block and they matched beautifully), the installtion was easy, and the roller chain on each shade works very smooth. We weren't looking for privacy but they do add some privacy when looking in from the outside while allowing us to see outside clearly. They do keep the sun out (great in the summertime). They are stylish and worth every penny. Customer service was fantastic, very helpful and other than having these on backorder (which wasn't for a very long at all)we are very satisfied with this purchase.
