We needed a window covering for the patio sliding door that did not block too much daylight, but provided a decorative accent at night. My plants need the light in this east facing window, so I thought I would never close the blind in the daytime. But the woven wood blind is so beautiful that I close it on occasion just to see the dark green leaves in the filtered light of the blind. Lovely!
My only reservation is that we needed to raise the rod because the blinds gained about two inches after hanging for a few weeks. But, it was easy to do and well worth the extra effort.
