When we moved into our house 2 years ago, the window above the kitchen sink had white painted wooden blinds. The window was pretty tall and wide and there was a 30" reach across the sink to the blinds.

The blinds were heavy to pull up and after years of steam from the water in the kitchen sink the paint was peeling off. We wanted something light weight, colorful and easy to pull up and down.

We bought this shade in the Spring Green color and it was exactly as pictured on the web site. We also got the continuous pull cord so that there was no cord pile-up on the counter when we had the shade open completely.

Ordering online sight unseen is always scary, but we were thrilled with the quality of this shade. The headrail and the cord matched the shade and the hanging instructions were very easy. We hung it outside the window so we could make sure the afternoon sun didn't get through and it's perfect.

We liked it so much that now we're getting blackout shades from Steve's Blinds for our theater room. THIS time we won't have to worry about the quality because we know what to expect from Steve's!
