We live in a 35 year old home that doesn't have even one standard size window. We got a pair of these for our bedroom mainly for light and sound control. They looked so great we got them for every window in the house except the unfinished basement. And they do help a lot with light and sound control. They even dressed up the outside of our house and gave it a little extra curb appeal. Would highly recommend these shades.

I love the shades . I did notice, if the door was closed,upon entering there is an unpleasant odor that actually bothers my eyes.
In an open room the odor is unnoticeable.

Bought two of these (navy color) for son's bedroom windows and he's had them up for a month now. He wanted privacy as well as a little room darkening. I bought these on sale. They took a few weeks to receive - I thought I'd get them sooner. They do look nice and the mechanisms seem to work easy, even though my son rarely opens them. They were very easy to install! I was quite pleased with the quality, fabric and lining. I would have no problem buying again, as long as the price was right.

The shades fit perfectly in the windows and when down all the way they block out light very well and are a definite plus for privacy. The appearance is very simple but not in a bad way. The only complaint we have with this product is that the pull string is on the window side of the shade and the only way to raise and lower the shade is to lift it forward in order to access the cord. Often it ends up with crumpled folds as the shade is raised. It isn't an issue but can be a bit of a pain. Otherwise, the shade is perfect and we couldn't beat the price anywhere.

This is a nice product that looks good and helps keep our mountain home warm. I haven't had them long enough to comment on the construction or ease of cleaning, but so far, I'm pleased! The price was reasonable and the product quality was just as I expected when I ordered.
