Measuring:

·        Inside Mount: Please provide us with the exact measurements of your window area. Do not take deductions. For looped and Classic Shades, the number and height of each lop/pleat will vary based on the height of the shade. Embellishments at the bottom of the shade will be included in the finished height of the shade (shade plus embellishments will fit within the height of the window). Some light may shine through the embellishments.

·        Outside Mount: Please provide us with the exact measurements of the area you want to cover. The factory makes no allowances on outside mount. Be sure to take window casing into account for complete coverage. For looped and Classic Shades, the number and height of each lop/pleat will vary based on the height of the shade. Embellishments at the bottom of the shade will be added to the finished height of the shade.

Shade Considerations

• Prints and patterns will be interrupted at each pleat or loop in the Classic and Looped Styles. The Seamless shades style is recommended if you do not want an interruption.
• Fabric patterns may not be aligned across shades or within shades with multiple panels.
• Seamless style has small stitches (used to attach the cord rings), which are visible on the front of the shade
• When shade is initially installed, it may need to be fully pulled up and left in place a few days to establish a pleat memory.

Fabric Considerations

• Fabric appearance can vary dramatically based on lighting and selected liner.
• Fabrics will fade gradually over time. Fading will occur at a faster rate if exposed to direct sunlight.
• Color variations between dye lots are unavoidable so to ensure color consistency, please order shades and/or cut yardage at the same time.
• Stretching and shrinkage can occur. Amounts will vary depending on climatic conditions.
• Wrinkling is an inherent characteristic of natural fabrics, please be aware shade may have wrinkling. Most wrinkles will fall out after the shade has been hung. If wrinkles persist, contact a professional drapery cleaning service.
• Measurement for vertical and horizontal repeats are approximate and may not be consistent.
• For silk and silk blends, there could be irregularities in weave, color, and repeats, as they are inherent characteristics of silk’s natural beauty.

Brackets

• Standard Brackets: Hidden brackets are zinc plated spring steel for easy installation.
• Ceiling Brackets: When shade cannot be mounted from the standard bracket, headrail is mounted to the ceiling.
• Extension Brackets: Projects the back of the shade to clear any obstructions, such as handles.

Shade Style

• Classic: Pleats create a tailored look.. Seamed pleats give the shade a classic look. Pleats are spaced approximately 7” – 11” intervals, depending on the shade height. When raised, shade folds up evenly at the top. A valance is optional at no additional cost. If you select a patterned fabric with this style, please be aware that the pattern will be interrupted at each pleat. The folded fabric edges are guaranteed not to fray. Spacing of pleats and loops is detemined by the shade height. If ordering shades for windows that are next to each other but are different heights, indicate that you want the pleat heights matched across shades and if pleats should be matched from the top (top of windows are at the same level) or from the bottom (bottom of the windows are at the same level). Due to the nature of the fabric, some variation in pleat size may exist.
• Seamless: Long panel provides an elegant look. Seamless front panel that folds neatly up at the top when fully raised. Folds are spaced at approximately 7” – 11” intervals, depending on the shade height. A valance is optional at no additional cost. Small stitches used to attach the cord rings are visible on the front of the shade. The folded fabric edges are guaranteed not to fray.
• Looped: Long looped pleats provide an elegant look. Soft folds cascade down the front panel at approximately 5.5”-8” intervals, depending on the shade height. When raised, shade folds up evenly at the top. A valance is optional at no additional cost. If you select a patterned fabric with this style, please be aware that the pattern will be interrupted at each loop. The folded fabric edges are guaranteed not to fray. If ordering shades for windows that are next to each other but are different heights, indicate that you want the pleat heights matched across shades and if pleats should be matched from the top (top of windows are at the same level) or from the bottom (bottom of the windows are at the same level). Due to the nature of the fabric, some variation in pleat size may exist.

Valance Options

• 6” Height: Recommended if shade height is less than 60”. Available on all styles at no additional cost. Valance returns are standard for shades with an outside mount. Returns are not available for an inside mount. Valances cannot be ordered separately. If valance is chosen with order, and no height is specified, the valance height will be produced based on the recommendations.
• 8” Height: Recommended if shade height is between 60” and 90”. Available on all styles at no additional cost. Valance returns are standard for shades with an outside mount. Returns are not available for an inside mount. Valances cannot be ordered separately. If valance is chosen with order, and no height is specified, the valance height will be produced based on the recommendations.
• 10” Height: Recommended if shade height is between 90” and 120”. Available on all styles at no additional cost. Valance returns are standard for shades with an outside mount. Returns are not available for an inside mount. Valances cannot be ordered separately. If valance is chosen with order, and no height is specified, the valance height will be produced based on the recommendations.

Multiple Shades on One Headrail: Combines two or three shades on one headrail. Perfect for wide windows or windows that are of similar size that are side-by-side. Available with all shade styles and with the continuous cord loop feature. An optional continuous valance is available in all valance heights. The overall maximum size is 144” wide x 120” high. The standard gap between panels is 1/4”, but the customer can specify the width of the gap between panels, but must be at least 1/4”.

Top Down/Bottom Up: Shades can be raised from the bottom up like a standard shade, and the top can be lowered. This is available with all shade styles, but is not available with the continuous cord loop feature. Valances are standard, and you can specify a specific valance height. If no height is specified, the manufacturer will produce it with the recommendation listed above.

Continuous Cord Loop System: A single continuous loop stainless steel bead chain allows you to raise and lower your shade smoothly and easily while the cord retains the same length. This feature allows for easier operation of larger shades. Available with all shade styles, but not available with the Top Down/Bottom Up feature. The bead chain length is approximately 3/4 the length of the shade, or a specific length can be specified. The headrail is wrapped in the same fabric as the shade while a seclusion strip hides components when the shade is viewed from the outside. A safety chain tensioner prevents the chain from twisting.

Embellishments: Can be attached to the bottom edge of the valance, the bottom edge of the shade, or both. Choose from multiple options within Bead Trim, Fringe, Fabric Beads, or Tassels. For inside mounts, the embellishments are included in the length of the shade. This is to ensure the bottom of the embellishments just touch the window sill. Some light may shine through the embellishments.

Cut Yardage: Cut yardage of the roman shade fabric. Minimum order of 1 yard. Due to fabric color variations between dye lots, it is recommended but yardage be ordered at the same time as shade. The cut yardage is not covered under the warranty.

Liner Options

• Privary Liner: All shades come with an off-white privacy liner (80/20 polyester/cotton blend). The privacy liners reduces light shining through the shade and provides a neutral backdrop when viewed from the outside. The opacity will vary based on the shade fabric.
• Room Darkening Liner: A 80/20 polyester/cotton blend that is available as an upgrade. It substantially reduces light shining through the shade and provides a neutral backdrop when viewed from the outside. Opacity will vary based on the shade fabric.
